ASK AUX'NA - Session One - Aug 31st
How do you make the jump to facilitator/business owner/entrepreneur sharing your gifts and serving in containers, spaces etc. when much of your life has been defined by corporate roles, schooling etc. where it often feels like you need that structural backbone and past storyline/titles/resumes to support you or define your role? When you've been consistently doing the healing work year after year, but never fully stepping into that new stage of power/ownership/change and stuck in the in-between, what practices/habits/practical steps make the most sense to take next. I have been in a prolonged dark night of the soul after many years of complex trauma and consequent healing cycles that often feels never-ending. Small bits of light through long periods of darkness year after year...Every new layer unearthed brings with it new challenges, whether health/chronic illness, financial, relationships, life changes etc. How do I finally expand that capacity to receive and grow and become new instead of just staying in the cycle. I am working to overcome a pattern of survival that i have been in since childhood. I moved around ALOT, had a ton of domestic violence in the house and grew up in an environment of “emergency.” This has carried into my adult life and has created so much difficulty when it comes to growing my business. I can see the pattern but i havent figured out how to shift it yet. Everytime i really get the momentum going, something happens that knocks me back down to the ground. Different scenarios. Same pattern. For years. It’s subconscious. And deep. And i am so ready to shift it. Can you speak about ethical pricing for services? There is so much conflicting messaging around pricing, especially in spaces that are "unregulated" such as coaching, etc. We are told to "sell transformation" vs hourly rates, but why should a coach with zero training and experience be charging more than a therapist that went to school for 8 years and has 10 years of experience? (That is just one example of the inner narrative that goes on around this topic) There is something about this dynamic that is creating a major block within my integrity when it comes to making decisions about my own pricing models. What is fair, what is ethical, what is of integrity? If you are offering something outside of the regulated models such as psychotherapy, etc, how can we be of integrity within our decisions around pricing?
